Movies day n night …

I was never like this. I never liked movies. But what happened after buying this computer. I am just watching movies day n night. Its not so long, I bought my computer, but I have already watched around 20 movies. I think its just because of these windows. Because now and then, I just double click the thing and video starts, in the beginning I watch it in forwards and then I start watching the whole movie.Yesterday, I watched Ek Khiladi Ek Hasina and V for Vendetta. I watched V twice and for the third time yesterday. Its a good movie actually and the diolog delivery is specially admirable. I would like to have suggestions if you can, for a list of some good movies.

PS: Try to suggest some hindi movies, if possible old and emotional …

My Computer

I bought a desktop last week on Tuesday the 16th May, 2006. Though we are supposed to buy the laptops, i preffered the desktop as it can be a good partner for developing things and of course its cheeaper than a low end laptop. I bought AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 939 pin, the Gigabyte nVidia nForce2 motherboard, Samsung SyncMaster 739S 17″ , Seagate 200GB SATA-II with other necessary accessories. Well, it cost me only 30700/- and that is quite cheap. One bad thing that i didnt buy any graphics card b’cos in case we are forced to buy the laptops, i’ll have to buy a laptop within 25000/- so that total cost can come under 55000/-. Even that is quite lower than the cost of a high end laptop. As i didnt take any project i m just watching movies and playing games and i shud admit that AMD rocks for gaming. Its enough alone to check the graphics details of the popular games like UT, NFS Most Wanted , Doom 3, Prince of Persia etc … But i m sad that still i m not able to configure my wlan card in linux. its WNC-0301 level one lan card. If you have any suggestions please let me know, i m just killing my time using windows and this norton really sucks. it reports windows registry file as trogen, i dunno why ?????????

My first post …

Till now i was just posting about linux. well its my first post about my life through graduation at IIIT Hyderabad. Well this post starts with a shock that we’ll not be having sysadmins anymore here at IIIT. I m praying for any courses that may be there beyond MS in our college so that THE nirnimesh may continue as sysadmin at our college. Its very sad not to have student sysadmins.
Its not long i know nirnimesh , but he is a very co-operative kinda person. Never got irretate. I remember each n every mail i sent to him ereporting the mail as spam, or reporting some problem with my mail account. Everytime he replied very calmly. And last but not the least, he is a linux geek too. Well it’ll very difficult to report problems to frequently to the new sysadmin. But truely speaking no one cant take his place or i shud say none else deserve to be at his place.
